Let’s Show Some MRV Love
If there’s one thing we know how to do well here in the Mad River Valley, it’s show up for each other. Nominations are now open for the Seven Daysies Awards, and this is one of those simple, meaningful ways we can put the MRV on the map—together. These awards help shape how Vermonters (and beyond) see places worth visiting, exploring, dining, shopping, and just plain enjoying. The more our businesses show up across categories, the stronger the signal: the Mad River Valley is a destination.
We’ve had some great representation in past years—shoutout to places like Addison West, Blockhouse Studio, Canteen Creemee Company, Mad River Glen, Mehuron’s Supermarket, Lawson’s Finest Liquids, Splinters Boardshop, Sugarbush Resort, The Local, and the Waitsfield Farmers Market. That’s a strong showing—but we all know it just scratches the surface of what’s here.
So here’s the ask:
Take a few minutes and nominate your favorite MRV businesses—your go-to coffee spot, your favorite shop, that restaurant you bring friends to, the folks who make this place feel like home.
A few helpful details:
- Round 1 nominations are open now through May 3 at 5 p.m.
- Finalists move on to voting June 2–15
- You can nominate in 50+ categories
There’s also a great opportunity to lift up local nonprofits this year, with a $10,000 grant going to the top vote-getter—well worth a moment of your time. And if you’re a business owner, make sure you’re registered so your name shows up cleanly when folks are nominating.
At the end of the day, this isn’t just about awards—it’s about telling a bigger story. The more “lures” we have out there, the more people discover what we already know: this valley is something special. 👉 Start nominating here
Thanks for helping us keep the MRV shining a little brighter.
