Putting the Mad River Valley on the Map—Together

Helping people discover the Mad River Valley is a shared effort. Our local businesses bring the experience to life, and trusted maps and guides help visitors find their way to everything our community offers.

That’s why the Mad River Valley Chamber of Commerce has long partnered with Resort Guides, publisher of the Mad River Valley 4-Season Guide, and our local MRV Discovery Map. Both are locally owned, Chamber-member businesses with deep connections to the Valley and a strong commitment to its success.

Our approach is simple: invest in these established resources, contribute our local knowledge and work together to tell the Valley’s story.

Strong Partnerships, Greater Reach

You’ve likely seen the 4-Season Guide at shops, lodging properties, the Welcome Center and Vermont’s highway rest areas. Its mix of local information and year-round experiences helps visitors plan their time here—and discover reasons to return.

The colorful MRV Discovery Map is another familiar favorite, helping people find local restaurants, shops, lodging, attractions and services. It invites visitors to explore a little farther and discover a business they might otherwise have missed.

For the Chamber, supporting these publications makes practical sense. Building on their established distribution and local expertise helps us reach more people while reducing the need for businesses to support competing publications. It also keeps our investment connected to local businesses that actively support our community.

Be Part of the Valley’s Story

For business owners, these partnerships offer opportunities to reach people who are deciding where to stay, eat, shop and spend their time. For lodging hosts and frontline staff, the maps and guides are useful tools for helping guests make the most of their visit.

We’ve brought information about both partnerships together on our Maps & Guides: A Co-operative Approach webpage. Visit the page to learn more about these resources, connect with their publishers and explore how your business can participate.

The Valley’s independent businesses and distinctive experiences give visitors a reason to come here. Working together helps people find them.
