Community Discussion

About the event
Community Discussion
Join Central Vermont Career Center at the Big Picture Theater in
Waitsfield on October 21 from 6 to 8 p.m. for a community panel
discussion about CVCC’s proposed multi-campus approach to career and
technical education. The discussion will feature Jody Emerson, CVCC
Superintendent/Director, CVCC alumni, board members and other
community voices. Panelists will explain the $54.9 million proposal,
how it developed following last year’s vote, and the process that led
to the current plan.
The proposal would use existing space at Spaulding High School and add
a new building at U-32, expanding CVCC’s capacity to approximately 450
students.
The event will also cover voting procedures for November 3. The CVCC
bond vote is on a separate ballot from the general election. General
election ballots are mailed automatically, but the CVCC ballot is not
included. Voters who want to vote by mail must specifically request a
CVCC ballot from their town clerk. Voters can also vote early in
person at their town clerk’s office or vote at their regular polling
place on Election Day.
