They said it would never happen—but the times, they are a-changin’! At a time when there seems to be division everywhere we turn, we are working to build as many bridges as possible. That includes an increasingly close partnership with our good neighbors at Discover Waterbury.

Our two communities share more than a town line. We are connected by Route 100, a regional economy and a common interest in encouraging visitors to experience everything this remarkable part of Vermont has to offer. By working together, we can promote the region more effectively, strengthen relationships among our businesses and create new opportunities for collaboration.

To celebrate that growing partnership, the Mad River Valley Chamber and Discover Waterbury are joining forces for a very special social gathering. And what better place to meet than the magnificent Moose Meadow Lodge & Treehouse—located on the “neutral ground” of Duxbury, Vermont, affectionately known as De-Lux-Bury!

Our hosts, Willie and Greg, will welcome us to their beautiful inn and grounds and serve a selection of delicious Filipino-inspired appetizers. If you have never visited Moose Meadow Lodge, toured its famous treehouse or attended one of its summer concerts, you are in for an absolute treat—especially with autumn arriving in the mountains.

Harwood Union High School music students Eireann and Tarin will add to the evening with live vocals and acoustic guitar. The Duxbury Historical Society will join us as our featured nonprofit partner, helping us celebrate the history and community connecting the Mad River Valley and Waterbury.

Both organizations are working to make this a memorable gathering, so keep an eye out for additional details. We hope businesses and community members from throughout the region will join us, make some new connections and help us continue building bridges.
