MRV Chamber Women in Business Annual “Speed Networking” Event

December 3 @ 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm

Making meaningful business connections takes time—and finding that time isn’t always easy. That’s the idea behind the MRV Women in Business “Speed Dating” networking event, returning December 3 at the 1824 House Inn & Barn.

  • 5:30 Start – Grab a beverage and a snack
  • 6:00 Program starts
  • 7:00 Continue to mingle with new connections
  • Bring your business cards, QR codes or whatever format you use to follow-up. Have your Instagram and Facebook link handy.
  • Let’s connect!

For planning purposes an RSVP is requested, but not required (for those who can join us at the last minute). Send an email to [email protected] to RSVP

Think of it as a friendly way to move beyond familiar faces and meet more of the women working throughout our community. Through a series of brief, rotating conversations, participants introduce themselves, share what they do and learn about one another’s work, interests and challenges.

The format takes some of the awkwardness out of networking. You don’t have to figure out how to enter a conversation or spend the evening hoping to meet the right person. Each rotation offers a fresh introduction and a chance to find common ground.

The goal is simple: start relationships that can grow beyond the evening. You might discover a potential collaborator, a helpful resource, a future customer or someone who understands the challenges you’re navigating. Bring your curiosity, a brief introduction and a willingness to listen. No polished sales pitch required.

Connections That Strengthen Our Community

Since the Mad River Valley Chamber of Commerce launched MRV Women in Business in the winter of 2021, the initiative has become a valuable part of our work to connect and support the local business community.

These gatherings bring together business owners, employees, independent professionals and community leaders whose paths might not otherwise cross. They also help the Chamber hear new perspectives and involve more people in our collective work.

That’s an important part of what Chamber membership supports: opportunities to build relationships, exchange ideas and work together to strengthen the Valley. In a small community, a simple introduction can open unexpected doors.

You don’t have to own a business or have attended a previous gathering to participate. Whether you’re new to the Valley, starting something new or looking to expand your circle, we hope you’ll join us.

Save the date: December 3 at the 1824 House Inn & Barn.
