Celebrate the Holidays in the MRV

The holidays in the Mad River Valley are quintessentially Vermont and the Mad River Valley’s business community comes together to spread holiday cheer throughout the whole season.  All of the Valley’s neighborhoods  are working to decorate and light up our community for the holidays, encourage shopping local and providing unique experiences.  From Thanksgiving through New Years, you will notice events, activities and sales in every  corner of the Mad River Valley; Warren Village, Mad River Green, Village Square, Middlesex/Camp Meade and the mountains.  Be sure to see the MRV’s complete event calendar. MRV Holiday Events

• Holiday Kickoff Event – November 14–16, 2025
  The MRV’s traditional kickoff to the holiday season. MRV retailers have come together to encourage folks to shop the MRV  with a Holiday Hoopla Punch card where shoppers can win more prizes the more stores they visit. There are also great bargains to be had at the annual Waitsfield PTO Ski & Swap Sale
• Holiday Week at Sugarbush Filled with skiing, riding, and festive events for the whole family. From first chair to après, it’s the perfect way to celebrate the season on the mountain.
• Mad River Valley Arts Exhibitions
  Along the River’s Way: This is a first time collaboration between Mad  Arts, Mad River Valley TV and anthropologist/journalist Tracy Brannstrom. “Along the River’s Way” is a storytelling project that formed as the ‘Mad Artist Residency, 2024. This project documents the creative practices of 12 elder artists in the Mad River Valley. Exhibition Members Art Expo – short winter art expo of our Exhibition Members work.
  We have collaborated with these members in our shows since September, 2023. We are thrilled to see their talent and creative energy evolve and grow over the years as they hold enormous potential in the eyes of Vermont and
  beyond. This is an occasion to shop for the family and friends during the holiday sea- son.
• Holiday Ornament Making at Block House & Salt and Sand Studio
• Sugarbush Wall of Fame Celebration & Sugar Bash Celebration
• Mad River Chorale Holiday Concert in Waterbury
• Moretown Artisan’s Sale
• New Year’s Eve Fireworks & Torchlight Parade
• Mad River Glen’s Opening Day
• 1824 House Gingerbread House Workshop
• Christmas Carol Sing-a-Long
• Bridge Street Luminaries – The historic village will be lit up with luminaries and highlighted with a visit by Santa.
• Mad River Green Holiday Extravaganza – The Mad River Green Shops and Village Square Shopping Center come to life to celebrate the holidays
• Warren Village Holiday Experience – The quaint village of Warren come alive for the holiday season.
