DESCRIPTION:Here’s your chance to try your hand at the potter’s wheel! This workshop will be offered the last Friday of every month (most months). \nThis is a one time\, two hour introduction to learn the basics of wheel throwing. \nYou will be guided from a ball of clay to your first bowl or cup. Using a simple to understand process\, you will learn the foundational techniques needed to enjoy this meditative and somewhat magical craft. \nMost students will successfully throw at least 2 pots which will be fired and finished by us\, ready to pick up in approximately 3 weeks.

SUMMARY:Family Gnome Making Workshop
DESCRIPTION:In this workshop\, adults & children ages 5+ will explore hand-building techniques to create their very own whimsical gnomes. Students will be able to personalize their gnomes with colorful underglazes. Examples will be provided for inspiration. \nThese little gnomes will make great gifts and decorations! There is no limit to ho many gnomes participants can make. \nPieces will be fired by us\, finished with a clear glaze and ready for pick up in 2-3 weeks. All materials are included.

Carry on the tradition and take home a beautiful\, durable and useful basket crafted from responsibly harvested\, hand pounded\, Vermont black ash logs. \nThis is a great introduction to the extraordinary qualities of the black ash tree. You will weave a square to round basket\, approximately 6”x 6” with optional leather strap. \nIncluded a discussion and demo on how the material is harvested and processed.\nAges 14+
