Seven Days – MRV Destination Co-op Ad Program
The MRV Chamber is excited to announce a co-op advertising opportunity designed to create a unified presence in Seven Days, Vermont’s largest circulation newspaper. Our goal is to enable Mad River Valley businesses to advertise in a substantial, consistent, and cohesive manner throughout the year, presenting the MRV as a premier destination with full-page ads on a monthly basis (or more, if there is sufficient interest).
We already have local MRV businesses that regularly advertise in Seven Days. We hope to leverage these existing investments, coordinating our community’s efforts to attract Vermont-based visitors to the MRV.

- Full Page Monthly Ads: Commit to full-page ads in Seven Days, showcasing the MRV as a unified destination.
- Cost Reduction: Provide advertising commitments to lower costs for all participants.

Reach and Impact: This advertising initiative will promote both our community and your business to 91,000 weekly print readers and 87,000 digital readers. Seven Days readers are active, educated, and local-focused individuals, most of whom live within an hour and a half of Burlington. They love to eat out, attend cultural events, and shop locally.
Advertising Options: Participating businesses can choose between 1/4-page and 1/8-page ad spaces under the Mad River Valley “umbrella.”
- 1/4 Page Ad: $320/month x 12 months = $3,840 annual investment
- 1/8 Page Ad: $165/month x 12 months = $1,920 annual investment

- Full Page Open Rate Color Ad: Normally $2,115
- Monthly Discounted Rate (12 times/year): $1,705
- Chamber Subsidy: 25% of the full-page ad cost
- Chamber Services: We will create the ads, organize scheduling, and handle invoicing.
- Ad Artwork: Each advertiser is responsible for providing ad artwork in advance.
- Annual Commitment: A full-year commitment is required to move forward.
Start Date: The plan is to begin in September and continue with ads once each month throughout the year.
