Retail Council Meets April 30

Back in the fall, we launched the Mad River Valley Retail Council to bring our retail community together with a shared goal: to collaborate, support one another, and strengthen the MRV’s identity as a vibrant retail destination. The energy in those first meetings was palpable, and there was clear consensus that working together is worth the effort.

Our next Retail Council meeting will be held on Wednesday, April 30 at 9:30 AM at the MRV Chamber Welcome Center, with a remote option available for those who can’t attend in person. Please let me know if you plan to join us.

Here’s a quick recap of some key initiatives sparked by our initial meetings:

• Monthly Marketing Workshops
  Responding to your request for marketing support, the Chamber is funding monthly workshops led by social media strategist Brittany Winfield of The Winfield Creative. These take place on the second Tuesday of each month.

• Marketing Resources Playlist
  Each workshop is recorded and available on the Chamber’s YouTube channel so you can catch up anytime.
• Customizable E-Book Workbooks
  Every workshop comes with a workbook to help you tailor the insights to your specific business needs.
• Neighborhood Collaboration Structure
  A structure was created to support collaboration within MRV’s key retail hubs—Bridge Street, Irasville, Middlesex, and more.
• Annual Retail Planning Calendar
  A shared calendar helps us coordinate retail events and promotions throughout the year.

• Retailer Questionnaire
  We conducted a survey to better understand what retailers want from the Council—and we’re using that feedback to guide our work moving forward.
