SUMMARY:Art & Conversations of Freedom
DESCRIPTION:Art & Conversations of Freedom (ACF) is a 3-hour participatory experience for teens to adults. This free workshop is offered by the MRV Libraries and is supported in part by Vermont Humanities. In ACF\, we examine the ideas of freedom\, power\, and agency through:\n-Pointed conversation in an agreed-upon open dialogue\n-Applied Theater\n-Art-making\nACF provides insights on how to ‘do something’ to negate hate and uplift love. The goal is that when you leave the Art & Conversations of Freedom experience\, you have a new sense of understanding and empathy\, and practical tools for productive communication and civic engagement. \nThis workshop is led by Artivist\, Educator\, and Warren resident\, janet e. dandridge.
