SUMMARY:" Living with Grief" Book Talk with local author Steve Rand and Rachel Wylie Fenton\, death doula about how Grief Affects Our Lives
DESCRIPTION:Local author\, Steve Rand\, will read excerpts from his memoir\, entitled “A Mother’s Prayer.” that\nis focused on how his mother raised Rand and her other two children while confronting a deadly\ndisease and becoming a single parent. Though her family of origin begged her to return to\nVermont\, she refused\, believing a return home represented failure. \nFollowing his conversation\, Rachel Wylie Fenton\, of Where The Love Lies\, will talk about grief\,\nand how it stays with us throughout our lives\, changing shape as time passes. As Wylie-Fenton\nsays “sometimes our grief is close to the surface\, and sometimes it quietly surprises us. There\nis room for all of it.”
