DESCRIPTION:Ages 6-12 July 31st – August 2nd\, 2026 Friday 4pm – 6pm Saturday & Sunday 9am – 3pm The Big Picture Theater and Cafe – 48 Carroll Rd\, Waitsfield\, VT 05673 $225 per camper \nKintz Clown Camp is partnering with The Bigger Picture Community Foundation!\nAfter 3 successful summers at the Waitsfield Village Meeting House\, Kintz Clown Camp is offering additional programming this year\, in our exciting new partnership with The Big Pic!\nLed by Kolleen & Bobby Kintz\, this weekend summer camp will explore ensemble creation and comedic performance. Some basic circus skills and partner acrobatics will also be taught! We will be discovering what it takes to be a strong performer and a good audience member. Games and laughs abound! There will also be outdoor components of this camp: popsicles\, playground\, and giant bubbles!\nStudents will share some of what they’ve learned at a short performance for parents/siblings/grandparents during the final afternoon. \nThis is a drop-off camp: we will help create a comfortable transition for your child when they arrive each day. Campers will bring a lunch to eat together\, during which we will watch age appropriate clown material from some of the greats like: Charlie Chaplin\, Lucille Ball\, Laurel & Hardy\, Mr. Bean\, and Monty Python. \nPlease complete one form for each child who will be attending camp. Starting in 2011\, she and Bobby began training with Dody Disanto at The Center for Movement Theatre in Washington DC. They have performed with the DC Fringe Festival\, Zip Zap Circus and regularly at Clown Cabaret. In 2014\, the duo traveled to Haiti to volunteer with Clowns Without Borders and performed for over 5000 children. Kolleen later became a hospital clown for Healthy Humor and made rounds as Dr. Pickle at Johns Hopkins for 6 years.\nKolleen & Bobby Kintz have been teaching artists since 2013. Beginning their journey with the instruction of 3 & 4 year olds\, in Del Ray\, VA. Later developing their own circus camp for ages 5-13\, which ran in Baltimore at Morgan State University for 5 years. In the summer of 2023\, Kolleen & Bobby premiered their Mad River Valley based programming\, with a 6 week summer session for preschoolers and have had ongoing programming ever since. To support that vision the chamber’s is launching a new series of Stand Up for Safety workshops designed to help hospitality workers recognize and respond to situations that may threaten the safety or well-being of themselves\, their co-workers\, or their guests. \nThese interactive sessions will equip front-line staff with practical tools to: \n\nRecognize signs of harm\, harassment\, or exploitation\nRespond appropriately and safely when concerns arise\nConnect individuals in need with the right support services\n\nThe workshops are approachable\, hands-on\, and rooted in real-world hospitality settings — from restaurants and inns to shops and recreation businesses. While the curriculum is still being finalized\, the goal is clear: to ensure the Mad River Valley remains a safe and welcoming place for all. This week-long camp\, running Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM\, is designed for kids ages 8 and up who are excited to make some art\, explore their creative side\, and do it all in a supportive environment. Campers will be guided through a variety of creative experiences that encourage creativity\, experimentation\, confidence\, and self-expression. \nEach day\, campers will have the option to dive into different mediums – ranging from painting and mixed media to sculpture and design – working on unique\, engaging projects that keep the week fresh and exciting. During the week\, the group will also collaborate on a special outdoor art piece designed to live on-site as a semi-permanent installation\, giving campers a chance to contribute to something lasting and meaningful. \nAll materials\, as well as snacks and drinks\, will be provided – just bring your creativity! She also attended the San Francisco Art Institute for an intensive summer program where she studied Painting and Photography. DESCRIPTION:STARK’S PUB WILL BE CLOSED ON SATURDAY\, SEPTEMBER 19TH FOR SIPTEMBERFEST.  \nBack in 2008\, three folks who really like beer\, really like festivals and really like Mad River Glen\, decided we wanted to bring the fun of a beer fest back to the Valley and that the only way it was going to happen was if we pulled up our bootstraps and did it ourselves! \nAlthough Siptemberfest has grown over the years it is still the greatest little beer festival in the state of Vermont. There are still only around 24 brewers and roughly 800 tickets for sale\, making it the Best Little Beer Fest in Vermont. For more information check out the official SIPtemberfest website.

SUMMARY:FALL FEST for Safe and Happy Childhoods
DESCRIPTION:The FALL FEST for Safe and Happy Childhoods brings friends and families from across the state to enjoy a day of family fun and activities. FALL FEST combines the energy of a classic field day with the charm of a Vermont fall festival — featuring live music and entertainment\, children’s activities\, field games\, interactive partner booths\, food trucks\, and meaningful community engagement. \nThis year there will be 3-4 musical performances including fiddlers from The Summit School\, roving entertainment such as Marko the Magician\, children’s activities\, and fun lawn games such as corn hole\, parachutes and hula hoops. Food trucks will provide yummy treats and we will have free cider and donuts available. \nThe entire event is free to attend and people of all ages are welcome. The FALL FEST is both a joyful community event and a powerful public demonstration of Vermont’s commitment to ensuring that every child grows up safe\, supported\, and connected.

SUMMARY:1st Ever MRV - Discover Waterbury Combined Chamber Mixer
DESCRIPTION:They said it would never happen\, but the times are a changin’! In this era of divisiveness all around us\, we are working hard to build as many bridges  as we can. We take great pleasure in working ever more closely with our good neighbors at out counterpart organization\, Discover Waterbury. We are doing all we can to promote our interconnected region and encourage visitation and collaboration. \nTo enhance that collaboration we thought it would be a great idea to have a joint social gathering to celebrate our combined work and encourage further collaboration. And what better venue than the magnificent inn and grounds at the famous Moose Meadow Lodge & Treehouse located in the “neutral” ground” of Duxbury Vermont\, AKA “De-Lux-Bury”! \nIf you haven’t been to the lodge and treehouse or been to one of their summer concerts  you are in for an absolute treat\, especially in the autumn. There will be more specifics coming up about this meeting as we get closer so stay tuned. \nOne of the MRV-DW collaborations that has been significant has been our work to bring international tourists to our Route 100 corridor.
