DESCRIPTION:We’re a unique collective of Vermont farmers\, makers\, bakers\, and shakers in the heart of the Mad River Valley.  \nEstablished in 1993\, the Waitsfield Farmer’s Market has been a meeting place for those who appreciate Vermont farmers and artisans for decades. Our market vendors are a carefully curated group of local Vermont businesses that provide the highest quality products to the market. Every Saturday\, rain or shine\, mid-May to mid-October\, you’ll find us on the Mad River Green! \nLocal produce\, plant starts\, maple\, honey\, flowers\, seedlings\, eggs\, meats\, cheeses\, fish\, crafts\, art\, clothes\, bread\, baked goods\, coffee\, spirits\, cider\, mead and prepared foods all by Vermonters. Every Saturday there is live entertainment. Visitors are welcome to bring their pets on leash. \nOur market is proud to offer many food benefit options for our community\, learn more about them below! \n3 Squares VT / SNAP \nThe Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) offers nutrition assistance to millions of eligible\, low-income individuals and families and provides economic benefits to communities. In fact\, SNAP is the largest program in the domestic hunger safety net. The Food and Nutrition Service (FNS) of the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) works with key stakeholders in every state to ensure that those eligible for nutrition assistance can make informed decisions about applying for the program and can access benefits. \nFarm to Family\nFarm to Family is a program funded by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA). These coupons are in denominations of $6.00 and helps individuals buy fresh fruits and vegetables\, locally grown from Vermont farms and at Farmers Markets. Look for vendors at our Market with the Farm to Family Program sign to accept your coupons. \nCrop Cash\nCrop Cash is a double-value coupon program that promotes the purchase of fresh fruits\, vegetables\, and herbs at farmers markets that accept 3SquaresVT/SNAP benefits. In essence\, Crop Cash is an incentive dollar that is earned for 3SquaresVT/SNAP purchases for use on the future purchase of fresh fruits\, vegetables\, herbs\, seeds\, and starts at the market. Rooted in the rich traditions of rock’n’roll\, blues\, funk\, and soul\, they draw inspiration from soulful legends like B.B. King and Aretha Franklin\, as well as jam bands like The Grateful Dead and The Band. Their original songs emerge from that same deep well—gritty\, groovy\, and steeped in Americana. Named Band of the Year by The Aquarian in 2020\, The Outcrops recently won the North Jersey Blues Society’s Blues Challenge and are headed to the International Blues Challenge in Memphis in 2026.

SUMMARY:Jazz with the Levin Brothers
DESCRIPTION:Emerging from the 1970s NYC jazz scene\, keyboardist Pete Levin and bassist Tony Levin have performed with legends from Miles Davis and Dave Brubeck to Peter Gabriel and John Lennon. Joined by Jeff Seigel (drums) and Pat Labarbera (sax)\, this quartet promises an electrifying night of dynamic jazz.\nTime & Location \nMay 27\, 2026\, 7:30 PM – 9:15 PM\nBig Picture Theater & Cafe\, 48 Carroll Rd\, Waitsfield\, VT 05673\, USA\nAbout the event \nEmerging from the 1970’s New York City jazz scene\, keyboardist Pete Levin and bass\nplayer Tony Levin has performed and recorded with dozens of the biggest names in\njazz and rock; from Miles Davis and Dave Brubeck\, to Peter Gabriel and John Lennon.\nJoined here by jazz veterans Jeff “Seige” Seigel on drums and Pat Labarbera on\nsaxophone\, expect nothing short of fireworks.\nStyle-wise\, Tony and Pete Levin have had divergent careers. Pete earned a master’s\ndegree from the Juilliard School and became a synthesizer specialist in the New York\nCity recording studio scene. Over the years\, he has graced hundreds of jazz and pop\nrecordings and performances with artists including Gil Evans\, Dave Brubeck\, David\nSanborn\, Miles Davis\, Joe Louis Walker\, Freddie Hubbard\, Annie Lennox\, Charles\nMingus\, Jaco Pastorius and Wayne Shorter. He has released 19 solo albums with\ngroups of varying sizes.\nMeanwhile\, Tony graduated from the Eastman School of Music\, and his bass playing\nquickly landed on notable recordings by John Lennon\, Pink Floyd\, Lou Reed\, Alice\nCooper\, Dire Straits\, Carly Simon\, Judy Collins\, as well as jazz giants Buddy Rich\,\nSteps Ahead\, Gary Burton\, Chuck Mangione\, and Herbie Mann. He has been the long-\ntime recording and touring bass player for Peter Gabriel.\nThey are joined by drummer/composer/educator Jeff Siegel\, and sax player Pat\nLabarbera\, best known as the long-time featured soloist in Buddy Rich’s band.\nThe band’s repertoire draws from 50’-era Jazz\, with excursions into Classical\, Pop\, and\nProgressive Rock genres adapted to the band’s jazz style. Performances now include \ncompositions by Paul Simon\, Peter Gabriel\, King Crimson\, Ennio Morricone\, Ralph\nTowner\, Jimi Hendrix\, and Jimmy Giuffre\, as well as originals.\nTheir musical paths have crossed many times\, backing other artists and playing in\neach others bands. In the late ‘70s they toured together with Paul Simon. But other than\na 1976 recording by their first group – “The Clams” – the Levin Brothers band was their\nfirst time developing a project of their own. With their common roots\, music training and\ndecades of recording experience\, getting their minds in sync with the project was easy. \nTicket pricing\nAdvanced $25\nAt the door $30
