DESCRIPTION:Grateful Gravel is a concoction from the minds of cycling enthusiast Dead Heads in the Mad River Valley that blends the\nworlds of endurance sports and music festivals into one event. Two entertainment endeavors that collide to move you\nbrightly. Grateful Gravel provides a challenging cycling event featuring some of Vermont’s most picturesque\nlandscapes and gravel roads that segues into a face melting gathering of community and friends to enjoy the song\ncatalog of Hunter\, Garcia\, and the rest of the Grateful Dead. \nThe day begins with a 21\, 46\, or 63 mile gravel ride that makes your legs scream louder than Donna Jean during a mid-\n70’s Playing in the Band. And new for 2026\, we’ve added guided mountain bike rides feature the debut of our newest\ntrail! An epic after party at Cousins Brewing starts about 2:30 pm with music\, food\, beverages and more. \nAll riders can refuel after the ride with a small meal provided by Silk Road and a beer compliments of Cousins Brewing.\nAdditional food and beverage will be available for purchase. \nBring your friends and family – everyone is welcome! For non-riders\, music and party admission for those 12 and over is\n$15 in advance\, $20 day of. Concert admission is included with ride registration. Want to camp out? You can book two\nnights in the Cousins Brewing meadow – see Shakedown street below.
