Both playful and intentional\, the works reveal the quiet ways design mediates our relationship with the natural world and with one another.\nFeatured artists include Tina Christensen\, Leslie Fry\, Michael Jager\, Susan Smereka\, and Elise Whittemore.\nAn opening reception will be held on June 5 from 5:30 to 7:00 PM. Morality demons claim divine origin\, govern the population with unidentified power\, and oppress shamelessly and unaccountably with history-honored illegality. Under and oversized puppets now battle the insufferable demons and the tricks of political mayhem. The world\, unaware of its upside-down situation\, must be confronted!”

With stilt dancers\, paper maché beasts of all sizes\, and a riotous brass band\, The Upside Down World Circus is an urgent spectacle of protest and celebration. Following the circus\, starting around 4:30pm\, a massive pageant will commence on the field. Competitors paddle out and spin\, dip\, and “dance” in circles in perfect synchronization with the music of their choice.\nThe film tracks a handful of quirky and curiously relatable competitors vying for the blue ribbon at the Moosehead Regional Finals. We follow our cadre of diverse canoeists’- a cutthroat perfectionist\, a backwoods natural\, an aging underdog\, a squabbling couple of summer camp owners\, and a hard\ntheir personal lives\, their eclectic preparation methods\, and learning what it takes to make it to the top of the Freestyling world.\nWhat does it take to bring home the “Top Paddler” ribbon? DESCRIPTION:The Mad River Rug Hookers meet downstairs at the Warren library on the second Friday of every month. Our monthly “hook in” a chance to socialize\, solicit rug hooking advice\, admire the works of many rug hookers and meet new hookers! \nWe have many new rug hookers\, and more are welcome. We have an introductory kit for $30\, which includes wool\, a hook and a portable hoop frame. DESCRIPTION:The Mad River Rug Hookers meet downstairs at the Warren library on the second Friday of every month. Our monthly “hook in” a chance to socialize\, solicit rug hooking advice\, admire the works of many rug hookers and meet new hookers! \nWe have many new rug hookers\, and more are welcome. We have an introductory kit for $30\, which includes wool\, a hook and a portable hoop frame. Sandra Grant is a very accomplished rug hooking instructor to teach the basics skills and application of wool and fiber for desired effects. \nIf you are interested in attending or learning to hook wool\, or have questions contact Sandy at slgrant22@hotmail.com to share your questions or to be included in her Monthly email invite and ensure enough new member kits.

SUMMARY:Mad River Rug Hooking
DESCRIPTION:The Mad River Rug Hookers meet downstairs at the Warren library on the second Friday of every month. Our monthly “hook in” a chance to socialize\, solicit rug hooking advice\, admire the works of many rug hookers and meet new hookers! \nWe have many new rug hookers\, and more are welcome. We have an introductory kit for $30\, which includes wool\, a hook and a portable hoop frame. Sandra Grant is a very accomplished rug hooking instructor to teach the basics skills and application of wool and fiber for desired effects. \nIf you are interested in attending or learning to hook wool\, or have questions contact Sandy at slgrant22@hotmail.com to share your questions or to be included in her Monthly email invite and ensure enough new member kits.
