Warren Village Cemetery Walk

September 12 @ 10:00 am - 11:00 am

Join us for a Warren Village Cemetery walk and explore the lives of long-departed locals. As we travel, we’ll come across centenarians, millers, sharpshooters, bear wranglers, and bridge builders. We’ll also observe gravestone iconography, unearth local stories, and explore the historical industry of a small town. Stick around and visit the Blair Barn to explore more Warren history at the close of the program!

This walk will last about 1 hour and be at a leisurely pace over pavement and grass. It will begin on the flat area near the town hall and traverse up the stairs (or path). Please bring good walking shoes and any assistive devices to help you navigate the grounds for one hour. Leaning on headstones is discouraged, so portable devices meant for leaning or sitting are encouraged.

Ample parking is available on site. No dogs allowed aside from trained service animals. Meet at the Warren Municipal lot by the town offices.

This program is in partnership with the Warren Public Library, the Warren Historical Society, the Warren Cemetery Commission, and cemetery sleuth, Erin E. Moulton. Register to attend: https://forms.gle/Qpr35QwfKcwjTG6R8
