Friday Night Show: Morality Demonology at B&P

Puppet show! Puppet show! Bread & Puppet will present an indoor performance each Friday this summer in the Paper Maché Cathedral. The show will premiere in June and continue to evolve over the course of the summer.

After the show Bread & Puppet will serve its famous sourdough rye bread with aioli, and Bread & Puppet’s “Cheap Art” – books, posters, postcards, pamphlets and banners from the Bread & Puppet Press – will be for sale.

Of the show, director Peter Schuman tells us that, “Puppeteers are in a state of high alert. The commanders-in-chief of reality are not only assassinating truth but have declared war on the innocent everything of the world. Morality demons claim divine origin, govern the population with unidentified power, and oppress shamelessly and unaccountably with history-honored illegality. Under and oversized puppets now battle the insufferable demons and the tricks of political mayhem. The world, unaware of its upside-down situation, must be confronted!”
