First Friday Films at the Corner School

This family friendly monthly event features classic films and superior snacks – all for free. The beautiful interior of Granville’s historic Corner School is transformed into a screening room where the whole community is invited to watch a favorite film chosen by a member of the community.

July 3rd: It’s “Independence Day,” a rollicking 1996 sci-fi action adventure starring Will Smith, Bill Pullman and Jeff Goldblum. It’s feel good Americana just in time for the 4th of July. Doors open half an hour before the film starts.

August 7th: “The Man with a Plan”! Director John O’Brien will be at the Corner School hosting this Vermont classic on its 30th anniversary! No better time to see it again. And if you’ve never had the pleasure of watching Fred Tuttle foil a slick politician, do not miss this opportunity. Fun Fact: the soundtrack for MWAP was recorded right here in Granville at Roger Stauss’s studio.
