Maps & Guides A Co-operative Approach
Showcasing the Mad River Valley: Our Partnership with Resort Guides & Discovery Map
When it comes to sharing all that makes the Mad River Valley special—our mountains, our trails, our shops, our events, and our incredible people—the Mad River Valley Chamber of Commerce believes in the power of strong partnerships. Two of our most effective and enduring partnerships are with Mad River Valley 4-Season Resort Guide and our local MRV Discovery Map, both locally owned businesses who not only know our community inside and out but are also outspoken Chamber members and advocates.
The Mad River Valley 4-Season Guide
Produced by Resort Guides, the Mad River Valley 4-Season Guide is a trusted resource for visitors and locals alike. From insider tips on where to eat and stay, to highlights of year-round recreation, the guide helps people plan their adventures while shining a light on our businesses and events. The Chamber invests in this publication because it’s one of the best ways to ensure that the full story of our Valley reaches the hands of those who want to experience it.
The Map Everyone Knows
If you’ve ever strolled down Main Street or stopped by a local shop, you’ve almost certainly seen a Discovery Map. These colorful, easy-to-use maps are everywhere visitors need them—and they’ve become iconic in our community. More than just a handy way to get around, Discovery Maps showcase our local businesses, attractions, and services in a fun and accessible way. The Chamber is proud to support this effort and keep our Valley visible to visitors at every turn.
Going Digital with the Discovery Map App
Discovery Map isn’t stopping at print. Their new app—currently called Localvore and soon to be renamed Discovery Map—puts all the utility of the classic paper map right on your phone. Available in both the App Store and Google Play, the app makes it easier than ever for visitors to explore the Mad River Valley, discover our local businesses, and connect with experiences in real time.
A Partnership Rooted in Community
Our investment in Resort Guides and Discovery Map is more than just a marketing strategy—it’s a commitment to working with and supporting two locally owned businesses that advocate loudly and proudly for the Mad River Valley. With their help, we’re making sure that our story is told across every season, on every street corner, and now, right in your pocket.
