About the event

The Big Picture is excited to announce an upcoming African Drumming Class for kids designed to bring people together through the joyful energy of traditional West African rhythms.
This is a collaboration with Shidaa Project Inc a Vermont based non-profit organization focused on education and enrichment through sharing dances, drumming and other West African cultural activities. We are so lucky to have Samuel Maama Marquaye (link his bio to his name), the Drum and Dance Director for Shidaa Project, coming to the Mad River Valley to teach these classes!!! Maama is a Ghanaian award-winning dancer, choreographer, percussionist and comic actor.
So come build community, de-stress, boost energy, and celebrate Black culture!
