Banner Program

Among the many benefits of membership at The MRV Chamber of Commerce is hanging an event banner on Slow Road and Route 100 (Across from what was the old TD Bank).  Non-members pay $35 per week.

Because the banners are hung private property, we are required to have someone who is insured to hang them.  Llyle, an employee of  Waitsfield Champlain Valley Telecom, volunteers his time to perform this function and has been so for years – Thaks Llyle.  Please, we  ask that you do not hang them yourself.

Please send an email to request the week(s) you want your banner hung.  We reserve on a first come first served basis.

Size and weight of the banner is essential because otherwise, the weather (particularly wind) will tear it off the ropes.

We recommend:

• 38″ high  X 16′ in length maximum dimensions
• Grommets (or D rings) should be reinforced and be located along the the top and bottom lengths of the banner not just the corners,
• Mesh banners are best as the wind passes through although they are a bit more expensive.
• 2 Sided is also ideal as they can be seen going in both directions, again it adds to the costs.
• Banners are relatively expensive, we encourage investing in good ones that can be re-used for several years.
• If your event is an annual occurrence be sure to make sure it is onteh schedule well in advance.

As an MRV Chamber of Commerce initiative, the last thing we want to do is encourage folks to not by local but there is not a good option to purchase banners in the area. Awesome Graphics in Rutland is a good option as well as the online resource at signs.com.
