Events

The Mad River Valley is a special place and our unique nature is reflected in the tremendous variety of activities and events scheduled throughout the year. Spectator sports such as downhill racing, sled dog races, and polo can be enjoyed by all ages. Golf and tennis tournaments, bike races, running races, and winter triathlons welcome participation from both locals and visitors alike. Classical and contemporary music concerts and plays at the Valley Players Theater take place throughout the year. Summer is enlivened by our funky, small-town 4th of July Celebration complete with parade and the Vermont Festival of the Arts that runs throughout the month of August. You'll find a dozen reasons to bring your family and friends to the Mad River Valley.
